Inside the first italian videogame museum you can find (into the form of items/music/videogames/autograph and so on) some public characters who, in some way, have contributed to make the videogames world even more greater. Discover them together.

Ian Livingstone

Ian Linvinstone, today Eidos honorary president, is the man who brought Dungeons & Dragons (the father of all actual role playing games) to Europe. Here you can find his incredible cv: link

American McGee

Mc Gee started his career at ID Software, working at games Doom, Doom II, Quake and Quake II as level designer, music producer, audio effects designer and programmer. In 1998 leaves Id for Electronic Arts, where he will work as creative director on many projects, creating its best known American McGee’s Alice. Here you can read his story: link

Riccardo Cangini

He is Artematica deus ex machina, a software house born in Chiavari, not far from Mecca. Thanks to him italian adventure games (and many other ones) are a constant reality: Jonathan Danter, Martin Mystère Operation Dorian Gray, Diabolik, Druuna Morbus Gravis....

Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto (883)

"Hanno ucciso l'uomo ragno", was hte launch album for 883, a pop italian group, which included a song really appreciated from the seventies italin gamers gen: Jolly Blu

Here's a quote from the lyric: "(…)Jolly blu la sala giochi 
che per noi era un non so cosa 
forse una seconda casa 
Jolly blu la sala giochi 
Jolly blu piena di giochi 
si ma forse in fondo in fondo 
era tutto il nostro mondo (...)" 

This very song will give its name to a movie entitled Jolly Blu in 1998. Jolly blue was a well known arcade near Pavia during the eighties.

J-Ax and Dj Jad (Articolo 31)

In 2003 the album "L'italiano medio" hit the stores and song number 16 was Commodore 64 vs. PC. Another "faith" evidence towards the most sold videogame machine of all times.

Here is a quote from the lyric: "(…) Lo attaccavi al televisore e ore e ore 
A caricare giochi dal registratore 
La grafica mancava di definizione 
Ma la sostituiva l'immaginazione (...)"

Eiffel 65

Eiffel 65 are an italian eurodance group, born in 1998 at Bliss Corporation studios. The band originally was composed by DJ Gabri Ponte, composer Maury and frontman Jeffrey Jey. In 1999 they published their first album, Europop, containing among others, the mighty song My Console quoted below:

"we're gonna play the game the playstation all day"

Caparezza

 Michele Salvemini in arte Caparezza è un cantautore e rapper italiano. Nel 2008 pubblica il suo quarto album intitolato Le Dimensioni del mio caos contenente una canzone, Abiura di me, che senz'altro è quella che nella musica italiana (e forse non solo) contiene il maggior numero di citazioni videoludiche, con relativi doppi sensi. Tra gli altri vengono ricordati Frogger, il Sega Megadrive, Lemmings, Guitar Hero, Resident Evil, Sonic, Ghosts'n'Goblins, Metal Gear Solid, l'Amiga 500, Super Mario Bros, Tetris, Prince of Persia, Track & Field, etc.

Club Dogo

I Club Dogo sono un gruppo rap milanese composto dai rapper Jake La Furia e Guè Pequeno (Fame e Il Guercio) oltre al beat maker Don Joe. Fanno parte della nota crew Dogo Gang. Con l'album "Noi siamo il club" del 2012 inseriranno nell'olimpo delle canzoni legate al mondo dei videogiochi la mitica P.E.S. col suo indimenticabile tormentone:

"Sto lontano dallo stress, fumo un po' e dopo gioco a Pes"

Sigue Sigue Sputnik

 Sigue Sigue Sputnik (che dovrebbe significare Brucia Brucia Sputnik) è un gruppo russo formatosi nel 1984. Durante la seconda metà degli anni '80 i Sigue Sigue Sputnik divennero popolari grazie a brani come Love Missile F1-11 e 21st Century Boy, contenuti nell'album Flaunt-it, sfruttando l'originale idea di inserire spot pubblicitari tra una traccia e l'altra. Il gruppo era formato da Martin Degville (voce), Tony James (basso), Neal X (chitarra), Ray Mayhew (batteria), Chris Kavanagh (batteria). Noi li ricordiamo perchè il gruppo era sponsorizzato da Atari ma soprattutto per la bellissima Atari Baby, del già citato album Flaunt.it
